Kim is a graduate of Australia's National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) and has worked extensively in theatre and TV both in Australia and abroad. His theatre credits include: She Stoops to Conquer and Macbeth ( Sydney Theatre Company); Stories From Suburban Road ( Perth/ Ensemble Theatre Company); The Merry Go Round In the Sea, Blackrock, After Dinner and The Year of Living Dangerously ( Black Swan Theatre Company) ; Romeo and Juliet and A Midsummer Night's Dream (Glenn Elston Productions), and In Praise of Love ( Effie Crump Theatre Company). In 1998 Kim performed in Andrew Bovell's comedy After Dinner at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and The Lunch Club marks his debut on the London stage. Kim's Australian TV credits include roles in: Stingers, McLeod's Daughters, Home and Away, All Saints, HeartBreak High, Water Rats, Big Sky and Breakers. His credits on U.S TV include: WitchBlade, Lost World and BeastMaster. Kim has also appeared in the series Minty (Scottish TV/ ABC co-production), as well as the Korean feature film, Please Teach Me English (Nabi Films).
