Waleed Akhtar (Mo)

Waleed graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2003 and has worked professionally in both film and theatre, playing a wide spectrum of roles. His versatility has enabled him to move between playing a 14-year-old runaway, Tar (and his descent into heroine addiction) in an adaptation of the Melvin Burgess novel Junk at the Courtyard Theatre Kings Cross, to an American exchange student in comedy spoof musical The Show In The Bro (5* Three Weeks Magazine). He has played in children’s theatre with NPV’s production Rock Candy (Critic’s Children’s Choice Timeout) at the Magic Eye Theatre in Peckham and his last project saw him playing the lead role of Amish in short film Tonight for Britfilms.
