Croydon Warehouse IPF

The Lunch Club, as the Club de Almuerzoü was selected as a winner of the festival in 2003. The play was showcased during the festival with John Burgess (director at the National Theatre 1980-1994 and has directed over 30 world premieres of plays by writers including Judith Johnson and Jonathon Harvey) directing Sergic Soric (Milo), Robert Munford (Mo), Christine Bottomley (Nicky) and Andrew Robb (Dave).

In 2006 The Croydon Warehouse Theatre celebrates its 21st edition of the International Playwriting Festival. The International Playwriting Festival has been discovering and promoting the work of new playwrights since 1986. Over the years it has consolidated the Warehouse Theatre Company's role as a powerhouse of new writing. The IPF is held in two parts: The first is a competition with entries accepted from all over the world, which are judged by a panel of distinguished theatre practitioners. The second is a showcase of the selected plays which is held in November.
